[Completed Patent registration] Self-powered regasification system

The E&CO LTD. has successfully completed the patent registration entitled “Self-powered regasification system” on July 3, 2023.
This invention was developed to go beyond the limit of LNG regasification facilities at the existing onshore terminals to regasify LNG at offshore and supply natural gas to onshore terminals that can be applicable to FSRB(Floating Storage and Regasification Barge). it can be minimized additional electricity usage that compared to before the invention.
Especially, It is expected to reduce the cost to use ambient vaporizer because a lot of space on the upper deck in FSRB on the case of retrofit shipping and new building ships using barge type.
2023년 7월 3일 주식회사 이앤코가 무전원 재기화 시스템 (Self-powered regasification system)에 대한 특허 등록을 완료했다.
이번 발명은 기존 육상 터미널의 LNG 재기화 설비가 가지는 한계를 넘어, 해상에서 LNG를 재기화하여 천연가스를 육상터미널로 공급할 수 있도록 하기 위해 개발된 FSRB(Floating Storage and Regasification Barge)에 적용 가능한 무전원 재기화 시스템으로, 발명 전 대비 추가적인 전기 사용을 최소화 하는 시스템이다.
특히, 개조선 및 신조선의 경우 Barge type을 이용하는 FSRB에서 데크(deck) 상부의 공간이 많기 때문에 대기식 기화기를 사용하여 비용을 줄일 수 있는 효과가 기대된다.
